Big mistake Do not buy this LCD TV – First Time Mom – Chesterfield, VA USA
I bought a Toshiba REGZA 57LX177 LCD TV in October 2008, at $ 3,500. I thought TV was fine, worked well until April 2010. If your TV has horizontal lines on the page, fade, when the TV heats up. I contacted Toshiba and they said that I was not happy because the TV is out of warranty. I have a TV less than 1 year, 6 months and now the problem is that I can not afford the $ 3,500 repair. I would advise anyone to buy all their products. Inoticed a lot of similar complaints, and none received any help or support from Toshiba. Best Buy, not what to do, save the headache.

Toshiba 42LZ196 – 42″ REGZA Cinema Series Pro LCD TV – widescreen – 1080p (FullHD) – HDTV – high-gloss piano black Review
Posted by HDTV Buying Guide on May 07th, 2010
I recently purchased this TV because I have a nice big TV with a native resolution of 1080p, and have always wanted the most bang for my buck. I must say that I really think this model. I've always been a big fan of Sony TV and I initially wanted the Sony Bravia 40V2500, as the same to buy my father bought, but after I had this device in action, I had to get. Both the TV looks great and the family has some experience so far. But Toshiba is a bit 'cheaperand offers more features and is 2 "larger.
Some great things about this TV, how many functions can be found on comparable models to achieve compliance. Image and color quality is amazing, as shown in a price that most retailers, both online and offline sales to them, I think the costs. It also has some great features like picture-in-Picture and Ethernet for streaming photos and music from home network. It also has several input optionsdifferent configurations and are equipped with digital "box" where you just enter the Service tab. The sound is also ideal for those who have not established through space or money to a home theater complete. It 'nice, good sound experience when watching DVDs, or games like Gears of War.
The only disadvantage of this TV is so full that only accepts 1080p via HDMI, unfortunately, my Xbox 360 currently does not offer HDMI connectivity solutions, so IMost people can only play at 1080i.
Apart from a serious error. This is a great solution for those who have always been limited to HDTV. It is not afforable, but still has star power. You can not go wrong with him.

Nice display but too many problems – VMaxxed – Vancouver, WA
I had some problems with this TV since I bought it in 2007. Shortly after buying the HDMI from the card. It is under warranty, but it took four visits to get a patch to fix part of Toshiba. Now, after twenty-two months has developed a series of vertical lines on the screen, one is in the middle and bottom of each page about one third of the way, not too intrusive in dark scenes, so if you know the lines are, because you can not seeespecially when the scene pans horizontally. Sure, it happened shortly after the warranty period. Luckily I bought with my signature that VISA Toshiba warranty doubled. service technician diagnosed the table (for a service call $ 95.00), rather than having a total cost of over $ 2,000.00 to replace. Damn, I just paid $ 1,700.00 to start the TV. It seems VISA me back my original purchase price. You can be sure that you do not buy Toshiba.

We decided to move to HDTV using Mac Mini as a media center and training (a drop cable!) Of course, that work is good, we need high resolution screen, so we decided to look only at 1080p-monitor degree. The living room is rather small, so the 37 "seemed appropriate.
We must first of Samsung and Sony models, where a woman found at Costco for less than $ 600. It was not so familiar with the vision of the product, but I'm a little 'suspicious childProducers. However, the picture looks good, and what I read gave me hope, and so we went and bought a.
I am very happy that so far. He has a good collection of inputs: 3 HDMI (2 rear / 1 side), 2-component (1 rear / 1 side), 2 composite (1 rear / 1 side) 1 S-video (rear), 1 / antenna (rear ) and VGA (rear). I have HDMI, component and composite inputs tried, and all beautifully displayed on the screen. We do not really know that your computer is not connected, so Iconfirm how it works, but I suspect that will be fine.
We have the most different from our sound equipment all over the receiver, so I just TV speakers for the Wii. It 'just a slightly – more than enough, actually, but not the same quality. But this is not a big problem for us, I do not hold that against the vision.
Nice added benefit is that energy consumption is quite low for non-LED backlight is used isabout 110 watts. Remote is also provided, and on-screen menu (the choice of input devices and images) are allowed. It has 60 Hz refresh rate. I do not have much experience with the 120Hz display, but we do not have much problems with motion artifacts in this series.
E 'highly recommended as a very nice TV with a good price.

My wife and I were on TV at Costco 499.99. Best price for 1080p HDTV! Awesome HD picture. Our DVD player with upscaling player blu-ray/DVD short. I agree with the Post, the analog display is not good, great, but do not buy the HDTV with analog technologies to use the 20th century! Recommend this HDTV!

This has been good to broadcasters ATSC and HDMI inputs. Analog inputs, S-Video and composite video, was less satisfactory. If you have analog sources can be very similar, is not the best choice for you.

Panasonic TC P65V10 – 65″ plasma TV – widescreen – 1080p (FullHD) – HDTV Review
Posted by HDTV Buying Guide on March 17th, 2010
We begin with the question of why you want this TV? LCD TVs are lighter and require less energy, cost reduction, without the worry of screen burn. However, plasma TVs are still less to have a wide viewing angle and produce a better image quality. LCD displays are a long way, but do not reflect the deep, rich black plasma. I waited through the back-conditioning to keep. I read everything he has said that the best Pioneer Elite plasma you can buy (for $ 7000, it is!). Didnexpenses, which would be the second best tv. However, I would have paid $ 4000, so I'm shocked to see that my local big-box retailers have for $ 2900! Why is it worth it. LCD TVs produce clear, sharp and sharp. No, I do not like. Real life is not fresh and clean, but soft texture. Figure LCD products to me seems disingenuous. In most cases it is, store LCD display animations in demo mode. The reason is b / c cartoonFilms should be strong and rough and bright, have good results on the LCD monitor. I like making films, posters and plasma much better. Yes, but why buy this model, and not the model below? What are the main differences? Now, this model has a display with a 1080p at 24 frames per second (fps) at 24 Hz (pic refresh rate), it makes the models below have this feature. What that means is the perfect complement for Blu-ray. Most of the film is a snapshot at 24 frames per second 24Hz. If TVcan not imagine that this must be changed "signal is placed on the native resolution of the film. This may mean the movement is not smooth, and can introduce" noise "into the picture. Broadcasters will not run in 1080p at 24 fps, only Blu-ray. Well, the TV is only for serious film lovers, who will play a lot of movies on Blu-Ray. If you want to watch TV or a DVD, you can easily get a lower model as G10. Technology TV is not embarrassed. It is packed with features and is ablemany adjustments, non-professionals can easily be lost. Remote control is poor. Is not a universal service, and does not include other components, unless Panasonic VIERA Link and proprietary. One of those expensive TV that he expects there will be a universal remote. Only the group and Chan are back-lit keys. There are 6 'regime, "he said. Standard, Game, Vivid, reference study, THX, and personalized. I use Studio Ref THX to find sepia-toned, faded standard, live and playhell (tho Vivid is useful), lighted rooms. This is a system, CATS, which automatically adjusts the brightness according to ambient light. I leave it out. One might think that, given the bright room, you should be clearer, but in reality dimmer? Those days are in the plasma is less susceptible to burn-in, but JIC, there are 2 types of anti-image retention. You can use the cursor through television or through "random pixel orbiter" too. There is a mark of quality in power saving mode, which provides a timerTV turn-off, unless the signal for some time. You can see the different levels of noise and mosquito noise reduction. You can set different levels of black in the dim light, and there are 2 different sizes for HD. Sometimes the information is broadcast digitally on the edges of the screen, as "creepy" On The Edge. After cleaning to remove the size, dass There are some audio settings. There is an automatic volume control, which keeps the volume at the sameLevel (sometimes nothing more than advertising, which will defend). There is also a simulated 3D sound field. Let's Face It tho, if you buy them, go to the surround set-up and not rely on the TV speakers. There are a lot of inputs, 4 HDMI (including 1-side for easy wall mounting), PC input, SD card input, and analog many. With the worst of this TV is a reflection. As anti-glare screen TV, but also with its small 25-watt bulb, I seeExpression on the screen. Otherwise, the picture is excellent. It 'good for the black power, great color quality and fluidity of movement. With my OPPO BDP83, the image is breathtaking. With a normal television, still controls the way a lot of artifacts Bad (best way to describe it is "seeing" circles "of distortion of competition when playing, for example), the light in the fog bank. Theatrical HD, 1080i channel, the picture is incredible. There is very little "noise", the colors are accurately reproduced, and there aredeep, rich blacks. I recommend to anyone who wants the best now available. This means that the 1080p Blu-ray and HD TV and surround sound with a universal remote. If you only go to a normal DVD and many TV, model G10, and save money. Oh, and I certainly calibrated with ISF-tech, how to overcome the settings of many that even the technical and Phil, is a bit 'like me.

The amazing Panasonic Plasma TC-P65v10 – Ruben E. Moreno – Waco Texas
"I have a Panasonic plasma TV P65V10 TC and I must say that this is the best television I saw a picture of HDTV. Blacks are very black and white is very white, with a dynamic contrast ratio of 2000 ,000-1 of these tv Blacks are already very close to the now-defunct Pioneer Kuro, 5000000-1 contrast ratio. the colors are so rich, I feel like I'm involved in there, and if my computer color seemed even better than the TV – as a computer.65-inch display is ideal for movies or sports because of the 600 Hz refresh features Viera Cast is pretty kool, I can watch YouTube videos on it all day in the near future, the addition of Skype, Netflix, Pandora , and Fox Sports. I connected the TV, receiver, and Onkyo SR607 Polk Audio surround sound system, which has 6 HDMI inputs and have a 7.2 surround sound.o my PS3, Xbox 360 connected to Time Warner Cable via HDMI. Onkyo and TV throughIt works, if you do not want to hear the surround sound is heard, speakers, TV, TV speakers when the sound enhancement on the right are very good. Panasonic remote control works perfectly with my PS3 and my Onkyo receiver. TV with THX certification, so as not to share the TV, because a lot THX is a fairly accurate picture settings to the department, and it is quite clear that you can play on Windows, so that during the day in the neighborhood. BUYER BEWARE!!! DO NOT BUY PANASONIC PLASMAS!!! – YarnSOupOFTHEDAY – INDIANA
Panasonic is widely recognized as a major producer of some of the most popular plasma displays are available notes. What is not known, however, is that these companies very hard and without prejudice to all customers who pump out a thousand U.S. dollars has been set for her. There is growing public every day that passes without a major feature of this series (only one in my opinion, unlike the rest of the competition plasma) black levels, which are eliminated intoo little time. Many members of time the site of fans of actual results AVS Forum 'meter and black levels were double booked so little used 200-300 hours of operation. Furthermore, a characteristic that is a trick of marketing is to deal with, even by the non-initiation of the function and errors in the software starts terror on the panel. I want to say something else, that "infinite black function. One might think thatThe function allows you to infinite levels of television content on a loan black panel unprecedented depth, viewing angle, the richness and realism, and graphics. Hm … no. All it does is to refuse to join either no signal or image that does not need a pixel is lit 0.00FTL. Which basically is completely black. That when the lights a little humility pixel has assured his infinite black 0.00FTL converted 0.08FTL not all bad, but black is not infinite.Hold On will be better. This function is useless as it is, is just useless selection of AV, it is true that people, Vivid. Try your game, Standard, or even the most powerful (sorry, I threw some in the mouth), the THX mode, and it's no go. Well, if the panel "cancer" begins one of the symptoms that you may lose this wonderful feature. Basically you have an LCD display with none of the advantages of LCD. Once rich in imagery is deeply faded, boring mess, should be considered. I was hoping that could be spared the disease, but once I hit about 130 hours, the Panasonic plasma in a beautiful lush 65 "LCD is the fact that only half as bright as LCD, and neither turned pop. Not to mention getting free hand to avert a serious image retention with him. There is no way, Panasonic knows what is the cause. "leaders" of society, all people that every inner workings of this knowledge haveTV in rooms furnished in a day if they wanted (which no doubt) and subject to explain to them why it is necessary, "work" done for each ad. However, Panasonic Plasma is the one-offs that make black levels, so. Voltage, the cost of display items should be adjusted to compensate for the wear of materials in sheet metal. Panasonic essentially bought a piece of platinum to the small Nordic Winky in his pants to compensate. BasicallyI say that the tension increased to compensate. Sorry, I can be a bit 'annoyed when I'm angry. In any case, it explains that Panasonic released on C-Net.
"Panasonic VIERA Plasma HDTV offers outstanding picture performance throughout the life of these products. A number of components and materials for all electronic displays use changes over time. To ensure optimal performance for the image of the life of the crowd, Panasonic Viera seriesPlasma HDTV include automatic control, the voltage of internal control at predetermined intervals, adjusting hours of operation.
As automatic consequence of the maximum brightness increases compared to baseline. After several years of typical use of the internal properties of the material to stabilize voltages and no further automatic adjustments are necessary. Black level, at this point is stabilized yield superior image quality.
Latest Viera Plasma HDTV include improved automatic control, which applies voltage adjustments in small increments. This leads to a gradual change in black levels over time.
I say more. Panasonic CSR addition, many customers have indicated that the investigation is completed, it will upgrade, because there is no problem. Many cottages Panasonic Concierge Chat is available on the AVS forum, where, on the contrary, in the sameChat again and again. Sharp LC 19SK24U – 19″ LCD TV – widescreen – 720p – HDTV – black Review
Posted by HDTV Buying Guide on February 05th, 2010
I have a Sharp LC19SK24U almost 2 years of ownership and used it primarily on a computer monitor at first and now has 2 Tv I bought on sale for about $ 230 in November 2007, which is about the same price of one stand-alone PC monitor, was at that time. As a computer monitor, is the image is acceptable … nothing of that.
What I like is the way to the TV with a simple click on the button on the remote key switch. (There are 2 remotes.) You saved me from buying a TV tuner for PCs. All you need to dois to add a video cable to it and you're done. TV picture is adequate but not exceptional. Of course you can not go too far from 19-inches to see, but if you look across the room, small speakers are turned up to maximum, and very strong at all. There is some distortion at higher levels, you'd expect from a small TV. However, if you want to make the best sound, speakers, auxiliary hook on the back of the connectors. This is a nice feature that automaticallyJas ambient lighting in the room at night is very useful.
There are 2 remote controls. Base fully functional and small base that attaches magnetically (or your refrigerator for that matter, if you have in the kitchen.) Basic remote control and built-in LCD timer now, power, volume and channel up / down. There are two types of connectors on the rear RCA input, S-Video, HDMI connection for PCs and small? Mm jack for headphones.
Overall, a goodSmall TV.

I have a tv in this Christmas 2008 is still strong, sharp is a fantastic brand, it will be very satisfied with this TV, the speakers are pretty good if you have a better sound, hook, entertainment system, which works great for Xbox 360 / PC monitor, we had zero problems with this program, the port had to call technical support. I looked into buying 32 "inch Sharp Aquos TV, because I love this brand, Keep It Up Sharp!
