Panasonic VIERA C1 Series TC-P50C1 50-Inch 720p Plasma HDTV Review
Posted by HDTV Buying Guide on May 21st, 2010
This TV is the best buy in terms of dollars per inch. I bought this plasma at a local retailer for $ 630, and are very, very satisfied very impressed with the device. The picture is fantastic and makes my old 32 "Sharp LCD to shame. Black levels can not be coordinated to respond to the offer, and the resolution looks almost exactly like a 1080p TV.
I use to play game shows and movies. My Xbox 360 works great with it, and I saw no evidence of combustion.
Movies look great. My friends always want to come to watch movies on TV because of its size and amazing pictures!
I like the remote control. It is not ergonomic, but it works for sure.
Speakers are terrible. Close to solve the 5.1 surround-sound unit and the problem. Recommend Polk Stereo, Sony Klipsh or component speakers and simple amplifier with a 5.1-channel optical-in.
Sincerely course, this TV-linux.
I rate the 5 *. No problemor problems, easy set-up. The TV weighs about 90 pounds, in my opinion, stable stand.

DO NOT GET A PLASMA TV SHIPPED FROM MONTANA – Ravi C – Albany, NY
It 's just a bad idea. I got as a Christmas gift. It is cracked. Amazon is not to blame, but the shipping company Vann and YRC are a bunch of idiots. I had half of that disability, and changed for unknown reasons, to say the day after the day without me. I broke and went to a local and a bit 'of time, but it was TV without effort.

With the new found wealth of their tax return in your pocket, my extensive research for a new TV. Initially, I favored the LCD, but I decided to investigate the plasma, indicating film is based on excellence. I bought a 50 "Plasma TV Panasonic TC-P50G10 with home theater system Panasonic SC-BT300 and I feel very satisfied with the quality of picture and sound. The colors are strong and natural. Blacks are deep and contrast very well. The sound is strong with Blueray, standard DVD and regular televsion. I have a vast library of films in black and white play well on this TV. I watch a lot of old movies on TCM and I'm very happy with the image and sound. My effort is now tempered with the knowledge that I have to earn the right.

Great Product…. for the first 200 hours of viewing! – Christian Z. Newth –
I, along with many other owners of Panasonic TV bought the TV after reading the reviews of the various users and professionals. TV has been made with an incredibly rich and deep blacks, high image quality into account, and much more.
We were lied to. Panasonic has admitted that 2008, 2009 and 2010 have a new plasma, which increases the tension on the screen over time, reduce the ratio to increase contrast and black levels (less black, more gray) is enormous. TV will look likeIdeal for the first few hundred hours, then the black levels increase significantly. This is not something only videophiles can see, both beginners and professionals have discovered the problem on their files.
While some users can not find it, could be a problem, you should know before buying there. You should also know that the Panasonic is a response to this problem, in essence admits guilt, but claims that it is actually a 'feature'.Needless to say, many consumers feel cheated by this product, especially since one of the main strengths of the Panasonic (actually one of the most important marketing), has a real and deep blacks proved their plasma screens.
If you feel the need for further research on this topic, or just to visit [...] Google searches (black level problem Panasonic plasma). Also note that CNET, an important contribution to reducing the professional website2009 evaluation of this product, full of points per category (five) because of this problem.
For my part I expect a satisfactory reply from Panasonic
Buyer be warned.
Great TV – Cynthia Steiniger – COLUMBIA, CT, US
TV with a bit 'of confusion which came to the notice of the sender, but was promised one day received a very kind and helpful driver.
The picture quality is very good, but the controls have always been a bit 'used in experiments. The wizard is a bit 'confused and remote instructions are a bit' lacking.
It looks simple and good value.

After several mnoths with this TV, I could not be happier. I did months of research and it was definitely the best TV for the money. Even the PS3 and Yamaha 7.1 receiver is connected, so that my son is in heaven. How good are also non-HD channels look with amazement at her.

up, I did research for about a year while I saved money. This is the best settings for your money, you can find everything you've ever read is true, except for one thing. Burn-in. Observant readers. Even if you watch HD-TV with a symbol in the corner as "TLC" will burn in case the symbol stops moving. I have this set and a good friend does, too. What really bothers me to play my PS3 through it. Sharp as a razor, yes. Adding a static background for the original theme, but is badIdea. Try it, you'll see. then play music and turn on the Visualizer. If you do not burn, and then get your eyes checked. Rock Band or Guitar Hero game for an hour (this is'nt hard), turn on any white background, look at the game icon burn ins (underground rock, etc..) Usually disappears after a few hours, but it is frustrating. Both my settings and do my good friend has the same thing. burn for another half hour of still images to create better days, now forecaststhan ever must be, at least after some time …. If you are a player, pick AQUOS. No burn-in settings for the LCD screen and a runner goes up a large photo (red wines are a bit 'strange, but sometimes). The ratings are slightly lower, but damn, you have at least one game to break free havening afraid to switch inputs to avoid burn in serious people. Beware. great, bad for the players and burn-in. razor sharp, though ….

Fantastic HDTV – Just A Guy – CT USA
Purchased after reading in Consumer Reports that would have been better never tried. I could not happier with her. No Complaints. Nice picture. If you need external speakers. Internal factors are so-so (I think it's a complaint, but smaller).
Top of the line – danno101 – Out in the sun
I bought this set about 6 months. Before buying my research on avsforum. great source of information, audio and video materials. It could not be happier with my choice.
When it was delivered, the sender and grabbed the initial configuration to ensure that it works. In the first picture was less than expected, until I realized that my cable company has not been broadcast in HD. Once captured the HD signal is delivered in a crowd, I could not believe my eyes. The picture was impressive. ImageSetup is simple thanks to an optional Avia calibration disk. It 'was very close to full right from the factory. All functions can easily control the OSD. Peripheral connections are adequate and easy. Sound Factory is good enough for me. I have a home theater audio system could be a big plus as well.
Size matters …….. There is a range from 50 inches! My wife thought I was crazy and great. Sounds great, I know, but the biggest mistake people here to buy too little. She loves him. Now, as big as your budget allows and / or space. It is worth it.
Absolutely no complaints ……. excellent drive.

Toshiba 50HP66 50-Inch Plasma HDTV Review
Posted by HDTV Buying Guide on April 08th, 2010
Now I have this TV for over a year and still in possession of picture quality with HD digital programming to be surprised. If your TV can get my wife to say wow, this is good enough. I originally bought a Samsung 42 "DLP HD-TV and owner of the second week was the sound. I took the TV back and bought a 50" Toshiba 720p plasma, and the like. If I say something negative about it, it's time to start. It takes about 30 seconds to start, but the TV through its control at any time. II really do not mind waiting a few seconds. The only thing this TV is much sweeter than I did for me on sale for $ 1,600.00 at Best Buy, where $ 2,600.00 everywhere. Buy more and recommend policies for peace only on the amount you are already spending. What's another $ 300.00? Hope this helps.

Overview
50″ HD PLASMA TV
Specifications
Step into the future with the 50-inch Toshiba 50HM66 plasma screen HDTV, which features a stylishly contemporary black cabinet and space-saving bottom mounted speaker system. The set’s built-in ATSC (DTV) tuner pulls HD signals (480p/720p/1080i) right from the airwaves, and its QAM tuner is fully compatible with unscrambled HDTV cable reception. A standard analog NTSC tuner receives standard-definition (SD) programming. It comes with a tabletop stand that can be removed for wall mounting (with optional hardware).
This plasma set features Toshiba’s CableClear DNR+ technology, which optimizes poor NTSC signals from antenna or cable sources to eliminate video noise (“snow”) for a clean crisp image. It utilizes the digital 3D/YC comb filter to compare frames and determine the existence and extent of video noise. It then applies the needed amount of digital video noise reduction, and the appropriate sharpness adjustment to keep the picture clear. This feature now works on RF, composite and S-Video inputs, and can be selected by input.
The aforementioned 3D Y/C comb filter separates brightness and color signals better in 3D domain to eliminate cross-color, cross-luminance and dot-crawl distortion. It performs field-by-field comparisons of the television image to accurately separate the color from the black-and-white information and remove both horizontally and vertically hanging dots, as well as dot crawl, resulting in a razor sharp image. The Cinema Mode feature performs 3:2 pulldown detection and reversal, too–a handy feature for watching progressive-scan movie programs in their native 24-frame format. To adapt 24 frames-per-second movies to 30 fps video, frames in the original movie must be duplicated; 3:2 pulldown digitally corrects this duplication by removing the redundant information to display a frame-accurate picture. This set also offers five TheaterWide modes that expand letterboxed images–which is particularly useful when watching narrow letterboxed Panavision or CinemaScope films.
The 50HM66 has a 1366 x 768-pixel resolution (XGA), a peak 1000 cd/m2 (candela per square meter) brightness rating, and an amazing 10,000:1 contrast ratio. (The higher the contrast ratio, the greater a TV’s ability to display subtle color details and not get washed out by ambient room light.)
The GameTimer feature allows parents to set the television to shut off after a specified period of time and stay off until a lockout key code is entered. For optimum display of each type of input source, the Individual AV Settings by Input function allows you to make video adjustments for each type of input, such as RF, composite, S-Video, and each component video input. Other convenience features include color temperature control, closed captioning on mute, sleep timer, tri-lingual on-screen display, video input labeling, channel labeling, channel/video lock, and V-Chip parental controls.
This set has two stereo speakers that provide 10 watts of power per channel (for 20 watts of total power) and SRS WOW virtual surround sound. The StableSound feature maintains television volume within a preset range regardless of the source signal. This helps to eliminate the annoyance of normal program volume being followed immediately by extremely loud commercial messages or drastic volume fluctuations while changing channels.
It’s easy to connect to brilliant imagery with the component and HDMI connections–the latter offering pure digital audio/video performance with no degradation of signal from just one convenient cable. This set offers the following connection options:
- Composite A/V: 3 (1 front) in, 1 out
- S-Video: 3 (1 front) in
- Component Video: 2 in
- HDMI: 2 in
- RF: 1 in
- PC VGA: 1 in
- PC audio in: 1
- Digital audio out: 1 coaxial, 1 optical
Tech Talk
HDMI is a lossless, uncompressed, all-digital audio/video interface to link any audio/video source (such as a set-top box, DVD player, or AV receiver) with your TV–all over a single cable. HDMI supports standard, enhanced or high definition video, plus multi-channel digital audio on a single cable. It supports all ATSC formats–standard (SDTV), enhanced (EDTV), and high (HDTV).
SRS WOW virtual surround sound processing technology consists of three separate sound expanding systems, which work together to extract “buried” highs and lows. The three systems are, SRS 3D, TruBass, and FOCUS. SRS 3D creates a three dimensional sound field from just two speakers, thus giving the listener the feeling of hearing a multi speaker surround sound system. TruBass produces a powerful, yet low, frequency sound by utilizing a process called psychoacoustics. From only two small speakers, TruBass will give the effect of an expensive sub bass woofer that will leave the listener amazed by the quality of the sound. FOCUS was added to direct the energy from the speakers of the television set in a vertical direction up towards the listenerÕs ears. The addition of FOCUS means that there is virtually no loss of sound from the speakerÕs position on the bottom panel near the floor, which achieves a clear, undistorted range of audio.

What a sad waste of money – Bonita Boatright – Cortland, Ohio United States
We bought this TV about 3 years ago from Sears. The painting was wonderful and we were quite satisfied, although we thought the price was excessive. closed last year (just after the warranty period), we had a pipe (?) to replace nearly $ 500. We are really about money matters or to discuss the purchase of a new TV. Since we had a significant investment, we decided to fix. Imagine our disappointment when the same is happening again this year. So, needless to say, we bought a Visionlast night and I hope that we have much better luck with it.

I have this TV for a year and two months of ownership, and if you just heard a loud pop and tv went off. It took them a service, and said scaler board is bad, and they want $ 485 for the repair first. If you do not buy the extended warranty, so I'm out of luck. We also recommend a good growth suppressor, because what is causing this problem seeems.

Panasonic VIERA U1 Series TC-P50U1 50-Inch 1080p Plasma HDTV Review

You own this model in 54 "version about a month. Frame gloss appears sharp. Although some children leave the forgetful DVD ZERO break I noticed the image retention problems because they are known for plasma. In every case of retention image, TV has a nice feature that aims to eliminate or reduce the impact of a standard scroll bar, alternating black and white screen. Another problem, which is in the plasma is known that the reflection from the polished glassScreen. And 'anti-reflective coating of some kind on television, of course, not showing images as reflective, clear, but Hazed. However, there are several points that I noticed, with the peace, or backlight.
Installation is simple, the inputs for many components A / V I associated the device with the HD service and Dish Network offers a HD Nice. Sports and high action are better than LCD, I have no doubt (as opposed to the store and on my ownPanasonic VIERA LCD-X1).
I agree that the lack of sound from the speakers of the device, but it is necessary that this or any other flat panel purchase, you do not get the best sound from internal speakers consciously. Manufacturers largely enclosed in a small space. Chances are, if you buy this or a similar drive, you can pair with a home entertainment system or home theater receiver and surround speakers, as I have done thatshould be removed, "shortcomings Sound".
Minus, I was also able to collect the free Panasonic Blu-ray from the retailers I've used. Move without a doubt a wonderful! What beautiful pictures!
I would definitely recommend this TV to anyone in the market for the big picture, without a lot of fluff and / or curly! I remember when we were looking for widgets, you can buy a Blu-Ray (with widgets) cheaper than buying one of them tagged with TV Widgetsin!

Panasonic VIERA S1 Series TC-P50S1 50-Inch 1080p Plasma HDTV Review
Posted by HDTV Buying Guide on March 09th, 2010
I have the television to just over two months ago, it was time. I do not want a full review so many others have justice. I want to say that overall I like it. Has rich colors and deep blacks. I had a choice between the 50-inch-S1 and 42-inch G10. I'm happy with my choice, because they always need more screen size. I went to Sony 32 "CRT and I was a bit 'about the size, when we used to overcome the situation. Of course, after a month, will use the format …have the maximum size that can afford to meet your room. I tell you, seems to be reduced "in size, after a month or so.
There was much complaining about the recent loss of his black Panasonic plasma, which has been for some time. I have not noticed, and I hope that this will not happen, or if so, then I hope it is too small to matter that I have not noticed. Panasonic says that it is intentional. Who knows who is telling the truth? You ormay be wary of solutions, but still … remains as is. Lost many potential customers, however, for this would really try to do something.
Despite still prefer plasma / LCD. The blacks are much better and the viewing angle does not change the image quality. Regardless of the number of different liquid crystals, I see, I can not stand the black levels. Judge Fields TV lighting. LCD appears increasingly clear in shops and stuff … handsome. Plasma areappear darker in stores, so that the average citizen to stay away from them. These are the same people who spend $ 50 if the HDMI cable for $ 10 to do the same cables. Trust me. Plasma TVs (if properly calibrated) can be reduced. Reflection is not a problem. You get more responsive to the surrounding bezel, as well as on screen. My LCD monitor has a greater reflection. My previous CRT TV had to deal more reflection, so that the problem seems to me. Friendscome, and they want their plasma TV / LCD, after the upgrade. Of course, that different people have different tastes, so you must do your research.
This TV is perfect. I do not see it as a five stars of television, but it is certainly enjoyable. The problems I have with it is the image retention. There is no burn-in, if I may say so (which is different from the IR). Figure keep all day, at times, but it is barely noticeable. For example:playing "Batman: Arkham Asylum", all day again. It 'just a fun game that I'm not depressed. In any case, the health bar / half-circle, which remains on the screen and leaves only when you are in good health. Well, when I finished the night … I saw the list on the screen. It 'was very weak and only when the screen is otherwise quite dark, so I do not care … But there remained the following day. Once again, I can not emphasize enough that you are looking for themformat. Plus, it's gone. Large plasma burn-in test. I just want to leave image retention in a hurry, because they see the terrible things for a few hours … and I am wary of games that are constantly HUD.
Another problem is that the sound is mediocre. Not terrible, but since he has given the TV speakers, the sound is a bit 'muffled. They did design ensures that most people would use the receiverhowever. Well, I really could not with my receiver until I have an optical cable. My receiver is eight years, so no HDMI cable. I preferred the front speakers for better sound.
Three HDMI inputs are fine, although I was there at least four. I plan to upgrade their receivers in a given time, and this could be a problem. One thing I did not know before buying this TV, you can not receive signals to 1080p with component cables. Thanksno sense. I was one of the great Xbox 360, which are set via HDMI, so I'm using components. Not as bad as most games are 720p, but Netflix should be 1080p. Since Panasonic does not seem to improve its Viera Cast Blu-ray player with Netflix (except for 2010 -) model, I was thinking about using 360, but I can not 1080p. I'm fine, I use my PC via HDMI, but it would be better without my computer. YouWith a resolution of 720p and 1080i with the component, if you are asked.
SD card slot is basically a joke. If you have a card, the images that are larger than 2-megapixel resolution, which is prepared to wait for the next presentation. Most cameras today, at least 8 megapixels, which makes it very slowly and painfully. When I got through friends, their photos on a big TV show, like, I am in SD slot, because it is very slow. I go to my Wii SD card slot. This is a much more performance shots, more … It really puzzles from pictures.
Overall, I find the love of television, whatever the nuances of small size. The black levels are great, but not as great as I like. Greens look a little 'neon sign, in some cases, but who knows if it is really a bug or television, when the problem with the starting material, because I do not see all the channels or Blu-Ray. I do not know how the appearance of standard definitionChannels of my CRT, but I think that the problem of service. Standard-def DVDs are good on this TV. TV is not perfect, but it is not so much that exists. I know that television is becoming increasingly difficult to find. I paid less than nine bills for them, so it was a good solution for me. If you think about it, wait for 2010 models, you have to wait until November to get too. If you wait for 3D, I suggest you wait another two years, at least duringYou get all of The Kinks. The biggest problem is that aid to black after a certain number of hours that people are complaining on the forum. If too much on it? I do not know, because I had not noticed. But … does anyone think twice about choosing Panasonic.

Great TV so far!!! – Movie Man – Dacula, GA
I got this set for about 8 months, was so far and are quite happy.
Only complaint I have is a lot of green screen when you are in a lower resolution signals, but that was expected.
Excellent TV! Poor shipping by Amazon – N. Parsons –
Brief overview, the TV is excellent — Best Buy, if you wish. So give me 5 stars.
This review is available from Amazon. I like Amazon, and I have all (literally), but I recommend to the dollar high, large objects, such as 50 "plasma TV. Why should I take? Express more than 2 months and customer service was very poor, friendly but completely useless – their policies provide few mititage their problems. Bascially, who sell goodscurrently do not have enough to meet demand () is too expensive, so some of his TV, as promised, while others must wait to get there. I wanted to Group BCS Championship. He apologized for sending and deleting, because Amazon look great.
It could also hunded dollars to pay and had to immediately sell the TV Black Friday – I would recommend to others, not the sellers of Amazon for some products because of this do nothing for the customer, that makes mistakes.
