Key Features
The ultra-thin Air Lagoon design (see larger image). |
Resolution+ uses complex image correction to enhance the detail of each image, making everything feel like HD. |
ClearFrame 120 doubles the frame rate of standard LCD TV, providing crisp and clear imagery regardless of image motion. |
- 1080p HD resolution (1920 x 1080 pixels)
- PixelPure 5G 14-bit internal digital video processor increases gradation levels (4,096 levels, or 16x that of a standard 8-bit processor) to create smoother, clearer images.
- ClearFrame 120Hz screen refresh rate virtually eliminates motion blur, making this HDTV a great choice for fast action movies and sports. Toshiba’s ClearFrame 120Hz system doubles the frame rate of an LCD TV from 60 frames per second to 120 frames per second using superior Motion Vector Frame Interpolation technology.
- Resolution+ super resolution technology upconverts and enhances 480i/p and 720p input signals for a more detailed picture.
- CrystalCoat prevents ambient room light reflections from washing out the television picture, creating up to 30 percent better contrast in bright rooms and allowing you to enjoy a deep, high contrast picture in all lighting conditions.
- AutoView helps ensure an ideal image at all times for the day by combining an ambient room light sensor with incoming video content monitoring. AutoView automatically sets most of the TV picture parameters for you.
- DynaLight Backlight Control utilizes advanced image processing to monitor the brightness of each video frame, and adjust the backlight intensity accordingly. This precision creates seamless transitions with deep blacks for increased detail and depth analysis.
- Photo Frame capability allows this HDTV to act as both a TV and a digital photo frame. You can showcase your favorite memories as a clear, crisp slide show on the high-resolution television screen–all controlled with just the TV remote.
- Gaming Mode takes the gaming experience to a new level by reducing game control delay, thus giving the player improved reaction time and a more realistic playing experience. This is great when used with popular gaming consoles, or with PC games using the TVs PC Input.
- Built-in ATSC/NTSC/QAM digital tuning allows for tuning of standard cable channels as well as off-air digital broadcasts, in addition to digital “cable-in-the-clear” broadcasts.
- Native Mode restores the size of the picture by the 3-5 percent that is generally lost during the normal over-scanning that occurs on traditional sets.
- Cinema Mode 24 fps (3:2 Pulldown): This HDTV performs 3:2 pulldown detection and reversal, too–a handy feature for watching progressive-scan movie programs in their native 24-frame format. To adapt 24 frames-per-second movies to 30 fps video, frames in the original movie must be duplicated; 3:2 pulldown digitally corrects this duplication by removing the redundant information to display a frame-accurate picture.
- Color Temperature Control enables you to adjust white balance to achieve the best television picture possible in any viewing environment, or simply adjust the picture to suit your personal tastes. The “Warm” setting delivers a redder image that is ideal for display in a dimly lit room, while “Medium” and “Cool” provide a progressively bluer image for the best picture as room light levels are increased.
- Three TheaterWide modes are ideal for displaying HDTV signals as well as enhanced for widescreen television DVDs.
- TheaterWide 1: Letterboxed image is digitally expanded 33 percent horizontally and vertically. Useful for reproducing Academy Standard (1.85:1) formatted software.
- TheaterWide 2: Letterboxed image is expanded 33 percent horizontally and 42 percent vertically. Particularly of use when viewing narrow letterboxed images originally filmed in Panavision or CinemaScope.
- TheaterWide 3: Letterboxed image is expanded 33 percent horizontally and 24 percent vertically. Can be utilized when displaying letterboxed images that incorporate narrow bands at the top and bottom of the picture.
- MP3 audio and JPEG image playback via 2 USB ports or SD memory card slot
- REGZA-LINK (HDMI-CEC) allows peripheral AV devices such as a DVD player to be controlled by the remote control.
- InstaPort fast HDMI switching between A/V components: Typically, when you switch HDMI inputs, there can be a five or six second delay. With InstaPort, as soon as you select an HDMI source, it will connect in a fraction of the time.
- Ethernet port for connecting to wired home network.
- Bottom-mounted invisible speakers integrated into stylish Horizon bezel design (20 Watts total power; 10W + 10W).
- Channel Browser allows you to easily scan through the last 32 channels you have viewed, with screen images for the last five channels displayed, by channel, by favorites, and by input, at the touch of a button.
- Channel Labeling allows you to put station call letters on the screen along with the station numbers, so you always know what channel you’re watching
- Input labeling enables you to name the individual inputs to denote usage, such as “DVD Player” (instead of having them display as just “HDMI 1″ and “HDMI 2″).
- Removable stand for wall mounting (200mm x 400mm VESA mounting pattern)
- Tri-lingual onscreen menu (English, French, Spanish)
- Dual band Wi-Fi adapter (802.11a/b/g/n) plugs into USB port (security options–WEP64/128, TKIP, AES, WPA/WPA2-PSK, WPS, None)
- Warranty: 1-year limited warranty on parts and labor

Which Size HDTV is Right for My Room?
![]() |
With standard-definition TVs, the rule used to be that viewers would feel comfortable watching a set from a distance of 3 to 6 times the screen size in inches. With HDTV, the resolution is so much better that you can sit closer to a larger TV without noticing the pixels. So with HDTVs, the rule tends to be you can sit anywhere from 1.5 to 3 times the screen size (in inches) for the best experience.
If you know the size of the room you have already, where you want to sit, and where your new HDTV should go once you get it, you can figure out the size HDTV you should get.

Toshiba 46XV640U 46-Inch 1080p Full HD LCD TV with ClearFrame 120 Mhz Review

I could pick up a Costco at a lower price ($ 750) to save than any other 46 "I 1080p/120hz Insignia for Best Buy purchased. After several weeks with the first sentence is a joy to see in this price category, who are very happy that no first-generation, Ethernet-based Internet access devices more expensive, mainly due to the same services with wifi available in Blu-ray players at half price.
The main type of file is another that uses03:02 Pull-Down Technology to 1080p/24 fps input (ie, Blu-ray) REGZA instead of "downhill 5:05 promises fluid movement. In fact, looking absolutely great looking Blu-Ray Troy, I Having regard to the Jutter some distance on the lens panoramic scenes and scenes in slow motion close up. 'just something annoying. Exchange Blu-Ray is set to display plain out 1080p/60fps 1080p/24fps give Jutter barely perceptible image quality overall, if not completelyforever. Jutter no problem with regular TV broadcasts by connecting DirecTV and 120 Hz, which produces no blurring at all on fast action scenes and sports. If I knew the question Jutter Blu-ray, so I bought an entry-level pricing model REGZA XV-645u 05:05 downhill, but I will save about $ 100 with this set.
This HDTV is very flexible and intuitive image adjustment capabilities, you can experiment with color temperature,Intensity, contrast, brightness and all the usual setup quick and easy, until you admit you and your room. Four presets (standard, sports, video and film) are the limits, but a place to start and adjust the image of your choice easily accessible from the menu. The colors are deep and true with my DirecTV feed is 1080i and looks great on a number of color settings. "Smooth" video settings, which are produced from 120 Hz processing makes no uncertainty that Isee, move in broadcast TV is incredibly smooth. I put my review to 4 stars, because for some small Pix Blu-ray Jutter: DynaLight backlight car – installation is a bit 'slow and sometimes mount a new formulation during the scene, I could disable this feature. I also noticed that the color fades, though from about 140 to 50 degrees, 178 degrees, it is not publicized, yet most of these sentences. With the 90-day return policy Costco and a one-year extensionWarranty, it was worth it to see a large picture of the series, which could be worth twice the money they receive less than a year ago. If you are looking for a basic set of instruments at a reasonable price, will not be disappointed with this set, but a series of REGZA TVs have better technology for Blu-ray at 24 fps at a price slightly higher than this setting.

Great TV for the price – A. Pathak – Santa Clara, CA
We bought this TV in our local Costco store and was very pleased.
Before we bought the TV a manufacturing defect and can not be switched on. We were very disappointed because the quality of image, color was probably very natural for the other TV in the store and did not want to miss this TV. So we took it for a second attempt.
After receiving the new TV in place, was a very pleasant experience. The colors are simply brilliant. Sometimes I feelnoise level is average. Could have been better, but I'm not mad at it. I can always connect an external audio device. The reaction time was found to be
A wonderful Television! – Baltic Books – Portland, OR USA
We found this TV at a great price at Costco. We were immediately attracted by the quality of its full sound. For some reason, larger LCD sets Rotten sound much worse than the old analog sets.
At home we use in our bedroom. He has great natural sound basis for the television program. We also have a home theater 7.1 (Win 7 Media Optoma EP745 projector-connected computer, the Sony STR-DN1000 7.1 receiver, Comcast Cable).
One of the other surprises that we have found the next day – began our receivers Sony "BRAVIA after Toshiba, which corresponds"REGZA-Link functionality. In essence, the TV and receiver to communicate with each other to develop the basic settings when you are (you may need to optimize set-up still a bit '). So I think that is one ( or REGZA Bravia) is compatible with the other. I do not know what or how, but it works for us.
The picture quality is great. We have a 52 "Samsung in our living room. Display – brightness, contrast, etc. as good as Samsung, which we love.
Better than the comparable 46″ Sony/Sharp/Vizio – Gex N. Efx – Santa Clara, CA
Watch HD Blu-Ray, PS3 & Gaming top of the LCD. Scrolling text provides a clear w / 120Hz refresh rate. I got it from Costco and had the opportunity, each side Toshiba w / 46 than the comparable Sony, Sharp, Samsung and vision. Toshiba and Samsung had the best image quality and detail in blacks. No contrast ratio spec that I could find, but the darkness was more detail than the Sony, Sharp and vision. The only difference between the Samsung and Toshiba, paintSlowing looked better, but at the price of Toshiba's. I had two weeks and I have no problems with it. At first I thought the menu screens are a bit 'basic and inefficient compared with Sony's menu, but after a while' is actually quite intuitive and easy shortcuts. I especially like how to switch between inputs, channels, and favorite channel or history. I am very happy w / the LCD TV.

Samsung LN46A630 46-Inch 1080p 120Hz LCD HDTV with Red Touch of Color Review
Posted by HDTV Buying Guide on May 27th, 2010
This TV replaced with 42 "LCD signs. There is no comparison, even though I paid only $ 100 more than I paid for Insignia less than 2 years.
I'm not going to replace my TV because I was not happy with my old, but the whole time I was a beta test of Windows 7 on my Media Center, I could not with HDMI. So I took a chance on a problem with a larger television instead of my newer computers, and it was worth it. I use HDMI again.
The image is strong, very few artifacts. Sports, movies, everything looks good. I spent the last day, randomly jumping back through my collection of movie, review things in 1080p, and love the results. So clear, so strong, all without the system burner.
My Xbox Elite will be great for repairs, so I went and bought me a test with the Sony PS3 and some games, and games.
To fully planned, impulse purchases, are verysatisfied with this device. I was limited to four different brands, Sony, LG and other brands. When I went to the local bricks and mortar, They were all close, and I could directly compare all with the same source is operating and when it was more expensive than others I've seen more than offset the small price difference of such a framework very better.
And the fact that the database on my Harmony remoteThe remote is not – the discrete codes for almost everything bad TV.
Very satisfied in all respects in accordance with this TV.

Remarkable HDTV – N. Allen – Columbus, OH United States
I love this HDTV. I always compliments from people about this amazing TV picture quality. I am definitely looking for a smaller bedroom TV and is locked with a quality product like this Samsung.
Horrible Support – A. Putnam –
It 'was nice while it lasted. He died in July. It 's still broken.
This is the story of my problem is still open to television. I never thought that three months passed and I was still stuck with a dead TV. Every time I think I have a corner, which leads me to the end turn the TV sound is not the case.
I have never purchased a Samsung product. Pure and simple. Now I know. I bought an LCD TV, and worse still,I bought from Sears. It was December 19, 2009. I was happy. TV worked, and it looked good. As long as it does not. At the end of July 2009, TV was not activated properly.
– I called Samsung support, because the sales person told me that Sear was a manufacturer's warranty if you upgrade. There are some technical problems and to identify the problem. And I told the engineer to visit the parts shipped to me and are called fault on the TV.
-A week passes and I see no part of it. Calling repair Samsung has been commissioned, and they say that the parts are back ordered. Okay, I'll wait.
– I'm waiting for a month and see nothing. I check the status of my ticket online and says that the ticket is canceled. Call the company back for repair. They say that the parties are still around to support the strike call and Samsung.
– Call the Samsung and the woman tells me that the parts are back ordered. I ask here on ETA. He says there are none. Iask them, what good is my guarantee, if there are parts that are fixed TV. At this point, it seems that there is no intention to fix my TV. Apathy is leaking from my headphones. Finally I said I wanted nothing to sell their TV. Provide efficient customer service to arrange a TV exchange. Since that is never resolved, that pays me.
– After a week, finally someone is calling me. This is the beginning of September. We exchange information. He says he is readychange from one week (really? a week) and then will be sent Sears a TV replacement since I bought it there. I wonder how long you should go all to get on television. He says that in two weeks.
– Next week I receive a call from the same agent (I think we need a week) and he says that the information was sent to Sears and soon I feel riiiiiiiiight.
– I do not want to hear from them. I ask the status of Samsung. They say they knownothing. I believe that. I ask them to check with Sears for the position, perhaps give nudges.
– About two weeks later, no contact. I'm calling Samsung and ask if I have contact information for a person to Sears Exchange on request and RMA number. The woman gives me an RMA number does not release contact information. I wonder if you can get their state. He says he can re-apply.
– Still no. I try to ask some SearsNumbers and nobody knows what is an RMA number. I'm not kidding. Everyone said that I do not know what the RMA.
– A few days later I receive a call from me, not sure if Sears, Samsung, or an agent, I was. He said that some other companies such as Sears and Samsung. They say someone will contact my Sears store and make sure something happens.
– Nothing happens. I decided to visit the shop (September 4, 2009). I was told that nothing can be done untilThe head is back and he will be on Saturday. I came to Sautrday. He is not there. I go on Monday that is inside I was told on Thursday. I come on Thursday. And 'inside of me had a tracking number from Samsung. He calls her checks and HQ. She says she is not a RMA number and Sears is probably a reference number from Samsung. He asks me to call Samsung and see if they can exchange e-mail information about him and he will try to take care of them. He gives me his card. ISamsung and tell them the information. Need fax number. I get a fax number and to call for updating of the rep and I wonder if anyone e-mail/fax info. He says that surely someone is working on the ticket, and will happen.
– (10 set 2009) I'm sure nobody working on it. None. Why should they now. Samsung said. Women have confirmed that no one has information, head to Sears. He says he will check with his manager,To determine whether they can re-apply for the Sears HQ (which was done twice) and "maybe", also please send the head of department. No promise, no hope, end the call.
I have no idea what was happening. When I click on the website of Samsung two tickets, tickets for the repair and replacement will be abolished (but I'm sure someone is working on it). I have never met such a system as infectious Samsung Service Support. We can not recommend buying a product. I'll updatethis blog as there are more. I had started earlier, but I could never anticipate such problems. Until then, I have a story to everyone I know who are puzzled and worried. I'm probably missing a lot of calls I made, but the meat.

SAMSUNG SCAM – failed after 2 years! What the deuce! – A. FASH –
This was my first purchase expensive LCD TVs, and I always revise it again. Purchased for $ 2,099.99 was good for two years, then suddenly a long horizontal black line at the center of the screen. Because I was the shit 12 months guarantee Samsung, I brought in for repair my confidence man, who identified the problem as a defective LCD panel. Irreparable (unless you spend about $ 1,500 when you might just want the whole set for less money.) Irreparable? I spent twoGrand this matter.
Come to find out, Samsung (and others), LCD and plasma are afflicted by this problem, once you get the first year of use. Finally, and admits so constructed SAMSUNG. My husband tries to keep in repair, because most of these problems are irreparable panel, and because all their shots old CRT TVs for the new Wonder.
For this kind of money, are you kidding me? Curls in the game for Low HDPrices and beautiful screens, Samsung is still the product after 12 months? Let's see … 12 months, $ 2,099.99 … It 'guaranteed $ 175/month use. I think I would be grateful for anything more? What a scam.
Will never buy another Samsung product again! – Francesca – California
We bought three of these Samsung LCD TVs. One stops working completely after the end of warranty, another began to have problems out and we only have about 5 months. We are dealing with the warranty and see if it's worth to fix another. You have a beautiful image for a while. Let us not deceive you, look at the search engine of the Internet as "Samsung LCD TV does not turn on." You'll be surprised how many complaints there are to be surprised by this brand on TV. No otherSamsung!
Don’t buy from Samsung – J. D. Malone –
I had the same problem as many others. My TV takes about 15 minutes to turn on and click sounds during this time. This was started about a year and a half after I bought it. Samsung knows the problem but refuse to do something. Remember that. Samsung, the site of Toyota and its up to their mistakes and fix a problem with the capacitors. 10V capacitors do not cut the circuit 9V! Look at all the complaints on consumer!

Samsung LN46B630 46-Inch 1080p 120 Hz LCD HDTV with Red Touch of Color Review
Posted by HDTV Buying Guide on May 19th, 2010
I decided to move away from the famous V-sign and go to my latest TV fine, and I am nothing but impressed. It is (or was, at the time of purchase), the highest model of Samsung TV sold without the brightness of the screen. If you have a large display because we have not only maintained, plasma? LCD in this series is what I call "is usually boring." And still collect considerations, especially if you have a lamp. But above all is fine in a well lit room. The picture is excellentSD and HD, and its ability to play the video directly to flash drives and external hard drives are wonderful. (For the geeks: it is internally using its Linux-powered and will run MPlayer as close as I can tell.) Video works.
Many people on AVS input lag with this TV complained, but I noticed during the game, and even play at high speed. This is a way "game", but it looks pretty bad, so I avoid it. I had some problems when used as a PC display, andIt seems that a lot 'of overscan, but the overscan is a Windows-resistant 1080p resolution is slightly lower than that seems to work well. Be careful if you want all 1920×1080 pixels, though.
The quality is fantastic, though. It 's a nice TV.

Simply the best – Ryan Skorich – Duluth, MN
I bought this 2007 TV Samsung 40 "720p upgrade set, and the boy, who turned out to be an upgrade. I love all the updates that have succeeded in Spanish easier to switch between inputs. USB connector is ideal for watching content from flash drive. I, what looks good even when turned off. base glass is very strong, clear lines and looks great. Not sure what the hype about a touch of red, though. It 'just perceptible, must be enough spacefully illuminated notice. Touch panel instead of buttons is a bit 'impractical. I went down on TV several times a dusting on the front of the TV. It 'can also adjust the volume in a dark room. But all these things are only minor setbacks, considering how big the TV is on its own. Blu-ray to look at this great thing, and games look great even on my 360. I would recommend this opportunity for those seeking a large screen about a thousand dollars.
WOW!!! – M. Kohl – Las Vegas, NV
I have another HDTV in possession of these is the best I've owned my only regret is that I LV46B650, which is basically the same set of different functions. This file is an image breathtaking and 120 Hz, the style is unique reddish hue disappears in normal ambient light and see only black, only time will you see the sun. Foundation is made of glass and plastic is not heavy like most of the files that looks and feels like giving quality. The menus are animated and friendly. IEven the computer to set the hook and makes a great PC monitor. As for HDTV, not all the same, is one of the best. The only thing better LED HDTV with 120 or 240 Hz, but at a price that would have my vote. Take my advice by Kinky (I still have) and the ProScan (only trouble) in the world are not even close to Samsung.
Picture can’t be beat! – Floyd J. Peeler –
This is the second 42 "Samsung LCD TV, I heard, and his image is even better than before! HD programs are truly spectacular as promised !!!!!
I got a good price (free shipping), free installation and two years 0% interest finance the purchase from Amazon, and I would recommend to anyone.

Specifications
Toshiba takes digital light processing (DLP) technology into the future with its 46-inch TheaterWide 46HM84 HD-ready rear-projection TV. The 16:9 46HM84 uses a proprietary system called TALEN (Toshiba Advanced Light Engine); based on the Texas Instruments HD2+ DLP chip, it enhances brightness and contrast while keeping the 1,280 x 720 progressive resolution (720p). Toshiba’s TheaterWide TVs challenge direct-view CRT models when it comes to reproducing deep blacks and details in dark or shadowy scenes.
|
This set is HDTV-ready (it needs an optional high-definition receiver to get HD signals), but can improve standard-definition video, thanks to Toshiba’s multistep PixelPure video processing system, which optimizes the three main picture quality factors: resolution, contrast, and color. All incoming signals are converted by the built-in scaler to match the DLP chip’s native 720p resolution.
PixelPure encompasses eight different processing circuits. Among its components are 6.2-million-pixel oversampling (for higher perceived resolution), real-speed progressive scanning (which uses additional sampling points to create smoother diagonal lines), a Magic Square algorithm (for smooth, natural color gradation), Dynamic Contrast Enhancer (for higher perceived contrast and increased color saturation), and Color Detail Enhancer (to maintain fine image detail in color-saturated areas).
DLP technology uses an optical semiconductor, known as the Digital Micromirror Device, or DMD chip, to digitally manipulate light. The chip contains a rectangular array of up to 1.3 million microscopic mirrors, each measuring less than one-fifth the width of a human hair. A DMD panel’s micromirrors are mounted on tiny hinges that enable them to tilt either toward the light source (on) or away from it (off), creating a light or dark pixel on the projection surface. The bit-streamed image code entering the semiconductor directs each mirror to switch on and off up to several thousand times per second, enabling the mirrors to reflect pixels in up to 1,024 shades of gray.
The HD2+ DLP chip ensures an ultraclean image by filling in the dimples, or vias, in the mirrors to avoid stray light. It increases both brightness and contrast, resulting in an impressive color-corrected contrast ratio (2,200:1) at 1,100 ANSI lumens. The set’s TheaterFine HD Super Fine Pitch screen reduces the physical space between the lines on the lenticular screen, resulting in a finer, sharper, more detailed picture.
Toshiba’s DFine Hi-Speed VSM (velocity scan modulation) improves contrast and overall picture sharpness, while the CableClear DNR+ digital noise reduction optimizes poor NTSC signals from antenna or cable, further eliminating video noise (“snow”) for a clean, crisp image. Cinema Mode circuitry (3:2 pulldown switch) identifies original film-based content from DVDs, then reassembles the frame sequence to more accurately reproduce the original 24-frame-per-second material.
A 3-D Y/C (4 MB, 10-bit) digital comb filter with Vertical Contour Correction helps eliminate dot crawl and color bleed and significantly reduces detail noise, seen as shimmering or flicker, in complex or intricately detailed scenes. Color temperature controls allow you to adjust white balance. The Warm setting reduces the color temperature to an NTSC standard 6,500 degrees Kelvin and delivers a redder image that is ideal for display in a dimly lit room. Medium and Cool provide a progressively bluer image for the best picture as room light levels are increased.
The 46HM84 has plenty of inputs for connecting all your audio and video components. In back you’ll find two RF, two composite video, two S-video, and two HD ColorStream component video, as well as a High-Definition Multimedia Interface (HDMI) digital input. HDMI is an uncompressed, all-digital audio-video interface that supports standard, enhanced, or high-definition video, plus eight-channel digital audio–all on a single cable. A set of front composite and S-video inputs make hooking up a game console or camcorder a snap.
Other features include HD Window dual-tuner POP (picture-on-picture) with PIP sound for listening to two programs simultaneously, the new Radiance DC lamp with high brightness and lower power modes for extended life, individual audio-video settings by input type, sleep and wake timers, Real Speed progressive scanning to create smoother diagonal lines, the Color Transient Improver for sharp transitions on color changes without bleeding, and the Color Detail Enhancer to maintain fine image detail in color-saturated areas.
Aside from the 20-watts-per-channel stereo speaker system, the 46HM84 uses MTS for programming with stereo sound, and SAP for receiving a second audio track in another language. Meanwhile, SRS WOW combines 3-D Sound (simulated surround sound from any stereo audio) with TruBass (yet another low-frequency enhancement) and Focus (which clarifies voices). The StableSound volume leveler eliminates drastic volume spikes while changing channels or during commercial breaks.

I have a 52 "was four years and I have my 3 bulbs @ $ 250/ea, not to mention the $ 368 to replace the ballast. Our dealer conveniently left on the problems with the DLP. We should be on the screen and decided not to buy another Toshiba unreliable.

And 'cumbersome and expensive option for every family, and should be avoided. You need to plan a new lamp, the purchase of approximately $ 218.00 per year. This includes free calls to the service. TV fail at any time and request a new lamp is a terrible thing. Toshiba calling service is a nightmare too.

Whatever you do – stay away from Toshiba HDLP TV! We were four years and are on our fourth replacement lamp. I propose to do Internet research before buying, because we are not alone! There were some serious problems with the lamp from Toshiba was HDLP. Nothing more frustrating than watching your favorite show or a ball game and burned the lamp, and no TV until you get a spare!
Great Picture but too many issues….. – 1st time Mommy –

Panasonic VIERA U1 Series TC-P46U1 46-Inch 1080p Plasma HDTV Review
Posted by HDTV Buying Guide on May 02nd, 2010Have something in the local shop and I'm confused, people come to them and buy expensive prices, bad TV.
It looks great with any source. SD, HD, works great. Of course, things do not look so good with SD content, but you have 46 "screen, where you will not be able to see the gritty details and get the old 27" SDTV set – it is technology, not magic.
Do yourself a favor and get a TVcalibrated. We brought a copy of the DVD Elf and calibration settings used his image, the image has been great, even greater. It 'was amazing. I did not think could be better.
Video games are a thing as a monitor arcade on steroids. You're not as good as the arcade monitor this thing.
Even the super-fast game, everything looks buttery smooth. Also appearing as the old 16-bit video games, well on this monitor.
The air seems to HDTVlarge, particularly local stations 1080i (HD PBS). It seems that the computer screen with a DVI input instead of TV screens, which is as it seems good.
My complaint? I have a complaint. TV signal meter stays up longer than two minutes, and when I adjust the antenna out the window looks cool, and disappears, that sucks.
But that's all. The family is 2 years strong shadows Vision plasma, called burn differently (butfaded, and shadows).
TV is not even a hint of shadow, and even from the beginning. I am totally relaxed and comfortable with video games with her for hours. It is not a unique problem.

My Latest Do-It-Myself Project – William R. Larson – Port Angeles, WA
Arrival (only a few days after the order on-line) was very exciting! Delivery men carried a large box home, opened it, took a big file (46-inch screen) and paste to make sure it worked. Did it! They left and I was busy reading the manual large-scale installation and hook-up described. My wife and I could give a big lift, and I followed the diagrams in the book, log on to our other devices, Panasonic CD player and cassette player and home cinema speakers. We turned, And it worked! We never saw a big picture, sound and image control! We have a lot of classical CDs and tapes, collected over the years, and watching the opera and classical music part of the presentation. Sept. 46-inch Panasonic Viera is a wonderful addition to our home!
My Plasma Turned Into A Cheap LCD – Justin – New York
I bought 46U1 be my first big screen HDTV. I have not spent too much money, but I did not want cheap TV One. 46U1 I found on sale at Walmart for $ 698 and got one.
From the first moment I turned towards me blown away! Beautiful picture, vivid colors and a very important feature for me. deep blacks.
About a month after enjoying my new HDTV every day something changed. I noticed the change, if you have a movie nightScenes. It showed a man walking the streets at night under a streetlight. I saw this particular scene, a couple of weeks ago while browsing the channels. What has changed, that black on my U1, or the deepest blacks produce the TV was dark gray and not black at all. I have not received much attention until a friend referred the same to me a few days after the film. I appeared in The Dark Knight Blu-ray and low and behold my blacks were gray. This change is not goodat least, and, of course, not only for AV enthusiasts like me, but for everyone. I searched and found a thread over and [...] the original poster of the G10 which suffers the same black level increased. Because I'm the thread that many of the G10 and V10 are also found some owners claim that to come to front of their records are incorrect. Unfortunately for those of us that television is denying our hard earned money is a problem, bought a Panasonic existed. Indicate that the increaseplasma during normal life. Even if true, change is usually performed on live TV are some of the changes we see happening within 1-3 months. Much earlier than normal, safe.
Enough about that, even if the rest 46U1! Image quality, despite the gray black, looks very good. Beautiful rich color and precise enough. SD material looks good, but HD content is unusual, especially Blu-ray played via my PS3.speakers are actually pretty good and a bit 'of pizzazz as well. The menu options are very limited, as expected on a cheaper model, but there are enough settings to adjust picture and sound to your liking. The file is sitting good on my AV cabinet. Beautiful deep black box, although a bit 'thick for my taste, still manages to look smooth. A strip of silver accents down. The stand is very strong, but not swivel. One thing to watchScratches. Make sure the frame and the screen with the microfiber fabric, not cotton or paper products, such as the areas can be easily scratched if not careful!
Overall I'm very happy with my purchase only with reservations. Good start on the beach, great, if not an error in the design of television and all of 2009 could be another Panasonic. Everything from cheapest to most expensive '09 offers Panasonic Plasma. The new models 2010still a problem? Only time will tell, but I would avoid buying one, however, Samsung and LG, to try instead.

Panasonic TC-P46U1 Review – P. Basinger – Central Arkansas
I would echo D Robertson. I had a similar experience. I had a previous version of the Panasonic Plasma 42 "720p. I like him and is a great record. I prefer plasma over LCD. After two years, I decided to go to the games room and upgrade to 46" in room 1080 . I have a TCP Wal-Mart 46UI a price $ 698. After a day behind him. The image is only weak. Anyway, as good as my old. I read that it can qualify for ENERGY STAREvaluation, and I could not even banned in the form of AC. Their output gray to reduce power consumption. Regardless of how I ruined mess with the settings to make it clear that it would be something else. Although I saw the resolution was better than my old 720, I could not live with the output Dim It reminded me of an old TV where the color is wrong. I could not think of another model with TCP Energy Star rating are also intense.
If you've everPrevious Panasomic plasma or September 1 HD, which I see as one might think it's great. But the hand of old models, is a loser.
Consequences. I checked the official website of the Panasonic, and this model has 200 watts less power than other models, 46inch, not surprisingly, the output Dim I spent 200 more (fun, $ 1 per watt), but I a TCP-46S1 from the Amazon and the image is large, no output to the screen dim. I was so happy when I was old. NoBuy-U model. Buy S-and-go of this Web site for professional calibration settings for the big picture:

Panasonic VIERA G10 Series TC-P46G10 46-Inch 1080p Plasma HDTV Review
Posted by HDTV Buying Guide on May 01st, 2010
After years of research and then do not buy the HDTV for one reason or another, we finally bought a Panasonic G10. Very satisfied. LCD or plasma is now looking for a real choice, rather than on technical reservations are worse, at least IMHO. We bought the TV from Amazon and got a lot of money and regular supply. Fantastic. I (surprisingly) Thank you very good guy at Best Buy, and plasma TVs and LCD b'd place for us at the Magnolia Theater. We have really seenthe difference in the picture is the same Blu-Ray program is on both screens. We loved the plasma "look down" hand. But I know this is a very subjective thing to judge yourself. This plasma screen is just hot, it should be a factor in plasma in order. Anyway, great TV. Many options. I have a TV and Blu-Ray player (it's absolutely necessary to get Blu-Ray), an Internet connection. Blu-Ray BD-Live is so far away wet Firecrakbut the connection to the Internet and TV can, Amazon Video-On-Demand (VOD), access is very good. And since I bought the TV on Amazon I have a $ 100 credit to try the service. Can some great films without and with my service, I have Comcast as well, I'm not fan of Comcast. The same service is good but their customer service is a poor joke, and if they have no real competition in our area, which should have been out of business. Customer ServiceThe people are nice, but I can not do everything possible to resolve any problems. But they are nice because they can not help but give them to know that, but I digress seriously, the TV is great, the price was great, delivery and installation were great. I like this TV for anyone who would like more films suggest (IMHO) looks like a plasma. I also recommend the experience to purchase large ticket items, such as from Amazon. I was a bit 'worried about it, but I'm happy to have found the' opportunity '.And now I have some HD snob. My friends told me that this would happen, but I thought it was a bit 'silly. If it turns out that was correct. Once accustomed to HD, it's hard to go back to SD (standard definition). Be prepared, though not in HD.

Black levels change dramatically over time – Kevin H –
This is my TV and love it. My have low hours on it. However, Panasonic has designed the software in most of its 2008 and 2009, plasma TV model with the black levels change over time. This means that the levels of ultra-deep black, looked, as will be the first time after about 1000-1500 hours of use, that blacks are pretty dark gray. Panasonic has acknowledged that CNet reviews the dramatic changes in the test, and now class action was justbrought against Panasonic. I would advise everyone to stay away from Panasonic. Panasonic said it will not solve this problem, because there is a problem. This is a sign of a really bad company.

Panasonic 46” G10 on Amazon-best deal on the web – Brock J Mumford –
I got this TV yesterday, two days ealier than expected … surprisingly rapid transport (ordered Tue, Wed and received). Like many others have said, the picture is amazing. I work with rabbit ears to pull the local HD channels and it looks great. My old progressive scan DVD player also looks good. In the email I received from Amazon and … and The Cable Guy, except for obtaining Internet services. Who needs it? prime time sitcoms and sports, and countlessNetflix movies and TV shows, with all the TV I have in my life …. Music Man more. This TV looks as good as or better than any TV I've ever seen …. everywhere very happy with this purchase. Also, some people are buying big box stores too expensive, because I do not like the idea of something so great is delivered to them. How can I believe that was in store?
